2016 NCAN National Conference

NCAN's 2016 National Conference, Driving Postsecondary Attainment for All was a great success thanks to the over 1000 attendees who joined us on September 19-21, 2016, in Detroit, MI.

We were pleased to offer the following:

  • Jaime Casap, Chief Education Evangelist from Google, who spoke about technology, education and innovation.
  • Tonya Allen, President and CEO of the Skillman Foundation, who talked about Detroit’s efforts to increase educational attainment.
  • Michael Middleton, Interim President of the University of Missouri System, who addressed equity and access in higher education.
  • More than 70 workshops presented by a diverse group of college access/success organizations from around the country.
  • Leadership sessions specifically geared to the top executives of our constituent organizations.
  • A new fast-paced session format designed to promote thought-provoking discussion and sharing.
  • Intensive pre-conference workshops on fundraising, advocacy, career success, and FAFSA completion.

Many of the power point and handouts from the conference presentations are now available on this page. And recordings of Jaime Casap's and Michael Middleton's remarks can be viewed here.

We hope you will join us next year in San Diego on September 11-13, 2017. Information on the Call for Proposals will be posted in January, 2017.
