Call for Proposals

2012 Annual Conference Call for Proposals

The Call for Proposals for the 2012 National Conference in Las Vegas, September 17-19, is now closed. NCAN received another record year of session proposal submissions! For those who submitted, you will be contacted in mid-April with notification as to whether or not your proposal will be included as a conference workshop.

Session logistics:

  • Each breakout session is 90 minutes long and should be structured to include time for presentation and attendee interaction such as discussion, group work or a question and answer period.
  • NCAN will strictly enforce a limit of four presenters per session. NCAN recommends that at least one presenter be a practitioner working in the field (however this is not required).
  • Materials should be prepared for an audience of 50 - 100.
  • All meeting rooms will be equipped with a screen, LCD projector and podium with microphone. If presenters require additional equipment, such as a laptop computer, TV/DVD, or internet access, they are responsible for rental costs.
Conference logistics:
  • Presenters must register for the conference (one-day options are available).
  • Presenters are responsible for covering their own travel and conference expenses (including the conference registration fee).
  • Presenters are encouraged to book their hotel rooms early to take advantage of the discounted conference rate.

All applicants will be notified in mid-April, 2012.
