March 2010 Access Update - Regional Meetings

NCAN Announces 2010 Regional Meetings

The National College Access Network announces its 2010 roster of Regional Meetings, to take place in Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia and Seattle. Each regional meeting will address postsecondary success, federal policy and student tracking and data as well as roundtables and an opportunity to network with colleagues in the field of college access and success.

The Seattle Regional Meeting will take place on March 9 at the University of Washington. The member host will be the College Success Foundation, and speakers will include Deborah Wilds of the College Success Foundation and Dr. Sheila Edwards-Lang of the University of Washington.

The Chicago Regional Meeting will take place March 17 at the University of Illinois, Chicago. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will serve as the member host, and Edward Pacchetti of the U.S. Department of Education will be the luncheon speaker.

The Atlanta Regional Meeting will take place on March 24 at Atlanta Community College. Project Grad Atlanta will serve as the Member Host and speakers include Dr. Michelle Asha Cooper of the Institute of Higher Education Policy, and panel moderators include Dr. Yolanda Watson Spiva and Alvin Glymph of Project GRAD.

The Philadelphia Regional Meeting will take place on April 8 at the Community College of Philadephia. The member hosts are Graduate! Philadelphia and Philadelphia Education Fund and speakers will include Barry Ward of Pine Manor College and Victoria Dougherty of the OMG Center for Collaborative Learning.
