Pathways to College Network has partnered with National College
Access Network to create the National College Access Program Directory.
This directory is a free online tool for students, parents, counselors,
researchers, and all others that operate college access programs.
Programs in the National College Access Program Directory must
meet certain criteria, they must:
- Provide potential students with college access services beyond
the listing and/or award of scholarships, grants or loans;
- Provide students with advice about postsecondary admissions,
financial aid, careers, etc.;
- Serve more than 50 students each year;
- Provide services on an ongoing basis (more than one or two days per year);
- Offer services beyond those that are web-based;
- Offer information about more than one institution of postsecondary
education;
- Provide basic services at no charge (nominal fees may be charged
for such things as field trips, books and event tickets);
- Have an annual budget of at least $50,000, and
- Be classified by the Internal Revenue Service as exempt from
taxes because the organization is a non-profit organization or
a public entity.
Whether you are creating a new profile, or updating an already
submitted one, the user manual (general
or NCAN
Member) will assist in guiding you through the National
College Access Program Directory. If you require assistance, please
feel free to contact the National College Access Networks Technology
Coordinator, Betty Ivory at ivoryb@collegeaccess.org,
or by phone toll free 1-866-941-6122 x 204.
