Rapid Response Policy Team

The Rapid Response Policy Team is a group of NCAN member volunteers interested in the federal policy discussion on college access and success. It serves an important role in communication between those working with students in the field and the NCAN office working to represent students at the national level.

Members of the Rapid Response Policy Team will receive periodic breaking news updates in addition to the weekly policy news shared in the Success Digest. In addition, this group periodically responds to policy questions. The response is "rapid," with team members asked to respond within  anywhere from 24 hours to one week, but are not required to respond to each request.

In the past, NCAN RRPT members provided detailed responses on the FSA ID transition problems, including holding a video conference with Federal Student Aid officials. Team members also respond to questions on a range of issues from FAFSA verification to college rankings.

Any NCAN member is welcome to join the Rapid Response Policy Team, and a diverse group of voices is needed - from urban and rural areas, from Executive Directors and advisors, from veteran practitioners to those new to their jobs.

Join RRPT today by emailing Carrie Warick, NCAN director of policy and advocacy.
